Edit Transaction
The following fields are filled by touching them and selecting an
item in the list that will appear:
- Account
- Payee or Payer
- Class
- Category
- Subcategory
- Reason
In the list you may create new items by touching the last item (named New...).
For
new transactions the fields are prefilled with the values of the
most recently created transaction. If you select another payee
or payer, then its most recently assigned class, category and
subcategory are prefilled. If you select another category, then its
most recently used subcategory is prefilled. This makes entering
transactions very easy, especially if you enter them sorted according
to the payee or payer.
The Subcategory and Reason fields
are optional. If you wish to erase a value, you must touch it to open
the list and then go back without selecting an item in the list.
The Date is
initialized with the most recently entered date. By touching it, you
may change it.
The Amount
is mandatory unless you select a reason with split items.
The Notes
field may contain additional details or a reason, if no repeatable
reason was selected.
There is a menu option for deleting the transaction.
The button Split
is shown if there are no split items for the reason and payee. You may
press it if you want to create split items. The button is named Split Items
if there are split items for the reason and payee. You may press it if
you want to view or change them. When editing a new transaction, the
split items will be memorized if you did specify a reason name (the
payee and reason names are taken as a key for the items). The next time
you create a transaction with the same payee and reason names, these
memorized split items are automatically assigned. If you did not
specify a reason name or if you change an existing transaction,
the split items will not be memorized but assigned only to this
transaction.
With the button Camera you may take a photo of a receipt that will be stored on the SD card. The file name is put in
the notes field preceded by the label "Photo: ". If there is such a label in the notes field, then the button
is named Photo and by pressing it you can view the photo. See Using Photos for more details.
If you want to take another photo, you first must delete the label and file name from the notes field, then press the
Image button.
With the check box Cleared Status you may mark the bank transaction as cleared. An asterisk will show this in transaction lists.
