I'm a professional software developer with many years of experience on Mainframes, Unix, Linux and Windows systems. I had written small applications for my own use on Palm OS, Java ME and Windows Mobile devices, but they never reached the market.

When the iPhone appeared, I wanted to write something for it, but the learning curve (Objective C) and investment (new Intel Mac) kept me from proceeding.

When the first Android phone was announced, I quickly became convinced that Android was what I wanted to use in the future, due to the open source nature and astonishing design of the system and the use of Java, my favorite programming language. I wrote some applications I most urgently need on my mobile device and I think that other people might also use them.
